Three Counties Running Club sent three teams to the annual Hereward Relay organised by March AC on Sunday.
Teams of four runners took on different legs of mixed terrain over a 39-mile course, with some proving very muddy and slippery.
Stage one (6.9 miles) ran from Peterborough to Whittlesey, with stage two (10.3 miles) going on to March, while stage three (11.5 miles) ran from March to Welney, before a 10.9-mile final leg to Ely.
The men’s team of Morgan Harrison, Graham Rushmer, Tim Clough and Lee Johnson were first to finish for TCRC, with the women’s team of Sarah Johnson, Sarah Clark, Trudy Sayell and Elisabeth Sennitt-Clough next across the line.
And a mixed team of Kim Coulthard, Sarah-Jane MacDonald, Teresa Rodrigues and Kirsten Muller were the final team to finish for TCRC, who enjoyed a great turnout of runners and supporters at the event.
