Young tennis ace Cameron Smart is proudly sat at the top of Chatteris St Peters Tennis Club ladder.
The 16-year-old triumphed at the club’s tournament last weekend, securing some impressive wins against some of its A members to climb to the top of the in-house standings.
Cameron’s success follows his top performance at the Law Tennis Association under 16 tournament which saw him win all three of his matches to boost his LTA rating up to 8.2.
Dave Wing, who organised the tournament, said: “It was an incredibly competitive event, in which a high standard of tennis was played in all the matches.
“More players secured wins over higher ranked players, taking them up the ladder, than in the two similar tournaments held in the last year.

“As a result I’m anticipating a lot of Ladder challenges in the next few weeks, by members hoping to re-establish their former positions.”
