Shoot-offs were required to decide the winners of two Fenland Gun Club trophies on Sunday.There was an all-March clash in the Side-by-side Sporting Shield and Robert Albert beat Mark Bridgement to win the trophy.The Ken Hocken Trophy was won by Prickwillow's Derrick Vout after he beat Adrian Slack, of Eastrea.In a very close 50-target sporting competition, Doddington's Edgar Davies tied with Dave Beaumont, of Guyhirn, with a score of 44 ex 50, while Allan Wright, of March, and Whittlesey's Dave Shipman tied for third place with scores of 43 ex 50.Wright went on to record a perfect score of 25 to win the skeet competition, one shot ahead of Ramsey's Roger Fletcher. Mark Bridgement won the down-the-line competition with a score of 24/71 ex 25/75.The next shoot at Washbrooke Farm, Doddington will be on April 2 from 10.30am.
