Danny Beaumont’s late header helped Wisbech Town pick up their first ever win over Huntingdon Town on Saturday.

Matt Lunn put the Fenmen ahead on 26 minutes - the ball broke to him in the box, he shimmied past a defender and stroked a low shot past the keeper into the bottom corner.

Huntingdon levelled through Chris Jones but, on 86 minutes, Beaumont rose highest to head Nathan Horne’s cross into the goal and give Wisbech a crucial win.

The win sees the Fenmen climb to fourth in the United Counties League. They have another massive clash away at second place Holbeach on Saturday.
