Yesterday was a proud day for Fenland Paralympic hero Jody Cundy.
The 38-year-old from Tydd St Giles received an OBE for his services to cycling at swimming at a ceremony at Buckingham Palace.
Cundy, who took his Paralympic gold medal tally to seven in Rio de Janeiro last summer, joined fellow Paralympians Lee Pearson and Sophie Christiansen in receiving honours.
He capped his celebrations with afternoon tea and champagne at five-star London hotel, The Langham.
“What a fantastic day,” he said on Twitter.
