March Town Ladies star Shannon Kelly gave her side the best parting gift possible last weekend.
Kelly, who is jetting off to Australia with teammate Adele Munday for the remainder of the season later this month, netted the equaliser in March’s 2-1 S-Tech North success over local rivals Wisbech St Mary Ladies – a win that moves them to the league’s summit.
The Hares fell behind early on, but took control in the second half and notched a deserved equaliser through Kelly’s composed finish.
Top-scorer Louise Barbour then chipped in a glorious second to hand her side all three points and a fifth straight win.
March, who now top the division by three points, return to action on November 27 with a League Cup clash with Newmarket Town Reserves, while Wisbech St Mary take on Hungate Rovers on the same day.
