Wisbech St Mary manager Arran Duke is pleased with his side’s start to this season ... but he refuses to make bold predictions about where they will finish this campaign.
James McManus was on target as Wisbech St Mary followed up a crushing 6-1 opening day win over Brampton with a 1-1 home draw with Fulbourn Institute on Saturday.
Duke said: “It’s certainly been a good start, especially the first game.
“We made a lot of changes in pre-season so it’s good people have settled in so quickly. I’m pleased so far.”
One area that Duke was keen to address was his side’s lack of goals - they only found the net 38 times in 32 games last season.

He said: “Last season we didn’t score enough goals so we knew we had to change that. We’ve brought in some good attacking players who are capable of scoring goals and giving us a different dimension.”
Despite Wisbech St Mary’s promising start, Duke says his side will be taking things one game at a time.
