WISBECH’S promotion hopes were dealt a blow as they lost at home to Gorleston in a top of the table tussle at the Elgoods Stadium.
After a promising first half performance the Fenmen let their standards slip in the second period and were punished by two Gorleston goals.
The defeat, which brought to an end a run of eight successive wins, leaves Wisbech third in the table.
They will be hoping to bounce back from Saturday’s loss when they travel to Godmanchester Rovers today.
