Young gymnasts from March prepare for regional final after competition triumph

Five gymnasts from the Neale-Wade Gymnastic Club in March, Alice Edwards, Frances Eastol, Ellana Edwards, Eleanor Blackwood and Anya Gritsenko  entered the County Recreational four piece competition, competing against Huntingdon Olympic Gymnastic Club, on Saturday 9th October.
 
All five gymnasts were successful in progressing to the Regional Final being held in Ipswich on the 27th November.

A GROUP of young gymnasts from March have reached the regional final after returning from a county competition with a haul of medals.

Five gymnasts from the Neale-Wade Gymnastic Club took on their counterparts from Huntingdon in the County Recreational four-piece competition.

Alice Edwards, Frances Eastol, Ellena Edwards, Eleanor Blackwood and Anya Gritsenko all won medals and will progress to take on rivals from across the region in Ipswich on November 27.

Head Coach Alan Todd said: “We are proud of what the club has achieved over the past few years. This most recent success proves that with hard work from the coaches and gymnasts we can compete with the best.”
