OUTWELL’S Joshua Smith battles for position with Ryan Simmons during an action-packed day at Wisbech and District Kart Racing Club.
More than 50 karting stars took to the track at Manea, but it was young Alex Ward who was the only driver to amass maximum points.
Ward pipped Walpole Highway’s Frankie Wright and Outwell’s Maddie Williams to the prize in the 70cc junior class.
Sam Russell, Henry Laws and Smith were Fenland’s other juniors to take up places on the podium, while Andrew Nunn, from Marshland St James, pipped Wayne Hall, from Friday Bridge, to win the 125 two stroke category.
