Wisbech Town Acorns under-nine captain, Dale Richardson has been celebrating a great start to 2006 after he was selected for a place at the King's Lynn Soccer Academy. The academy aims to develop the skills of young players who have shown talent and ability within their age group and the Friday evening training sessions are run by UEFA B coaches.Dale, 9, from Wisbech and a pupil at West Walton Community Primary School, left Fenland Mini League title winners Hungate Rovers last season but he is now the Acorns under-nines' leading goalscorer.Team manager Richard Ziebart said: "It is nice to see Dale's ability recognised in this way."The coaching can only be good for him and hopefully his development will help his team mates to improve too.
