The Act Student Company is staging Stephen Sondheim’s Into The Woods next week at Wisbech’s new venue, The Act Theatre.

Allison Baverstock, spokesman for The Act Theatre, said: “This is an opportunity for local theatre-loving audiences to see the stage musical before the Disney version comes out next year.

“The Act Student Company is staging the junior version of the musical, making this a great musical for parents who want to introduce their children to the theatre.”

The musical intertwines the plots of several Brothers Grimm fairy tales and features characters from popular stories such as Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk, Cinderella and Rapunzel.

Tickets for the two evening performances, on July 10-11, are on sale now. Prices are £7 (£5 concessions and a family price of £20).
