PANTOMIME characters will join a former EastEnders actor in Whittlesey tomorrow for a charity Christmas lights switch-on.
John and Gina Ferridge have adorned their home in Arnold’s Lane in bright lights for eight years to raise money for Children with Leukaemia (now Children with Cancer UK) after their son Nicholas died of the blood and bone marrow cancer.
The cast of Aladdin, this year’s pantomime at the Key Theatre in Peterborough, is supporting event and will be in costume. Family friend and former EastEnders actor David Proud, from Whittlesey, will also be attending. The switch-on is at 5pm.
Mr and Mrs Ferridge hope tomorrow’s event will bring their total donations to the children’s cancer charity to more than 15,000.
