STALWARTS of Wisbech Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society were rewarded for their stirling work after a successful opera week.
Long-standing member Ann Shippey, who joined the society in 1961 as a dancer and has been involved in every opera since, was given the Saskia Wykes Member of the Year cup for her efforts throughout the year.
Alex Lester, the group’s newest member, was given the Anthony Collin Esprit de Corps Cup.
The society had just finished its production of The Drowsy Chaperone at the Angles Theatre, in Wisbech, and will hold a car rally on Sunday, July 22.
