WISBECH will once again celebrate its apple growing heritage with a two-day event on the market place today and tomorrow.
Around 40 varieties of apples - all grown in the Fens - will be available alongside a new display about apple growing in the Wisbech area.
Many local varieties of apples will be available to buy along with home-made apple pies, toffee apples and the Wisbech produced apple juices from Watergull Orchards in North Brink.
Del Monte and Stream Foods have donated apple snacks to give away and there will be a competition with an ‘appley’ prize donated by Holland and Barrett from the Horsefair Shopping Centre.
The event is organised by WisARD (Wisbech Area Regeneration and Development Trust) and runs from 9am-3.30pm both days.
