Wisbech Rotary Club has organised a charity concert to raise money to help victims of the Philippines hurricane.

The Spirit of Christmas takes place at the Thomas Clarkson Academy Theatre on Friday December 6, with music from the Wisbech Grammar School Steel Pan Quartet, King’s Lynn Town Band, and students from the Thomas Clarkson Academy.

Mike Chapman, communications officer for the club said: “Following the disaster in the Philippines, Rotary clubs around the world are sending what support they can to aid these unfortunate people that are suffering terrible conditions following the recent hurricane.

“Families have lost homes, possessions, jobs and worst of all, children. As well as sending tents and supplies, money is needed to offer help in the longer term.”

The concert starts at 7pm, and doors open at 6.30pm. Tickets costing £7 for adults, and £4 for children or students are available from Jon Martin on 01945 450154 or from any member of Wisbech Rotary Club.
