WORLD famous tribute band Killer Queen will set Oundle Festival alight after they are named as the headline act.

Picnic in the Park will see Patrick Myer star as Freddie Mercury and the legendary band will enthral visitors with classics like Bohemian Rhapsody, We are the Champions and Don’t Stop Me Now in the July 16 event.

The Animals keyboardist Alan Price, best known for the House of the Rising Sun, will support Killer Queen for the evening at Heron Rogers Field, Oundle, which will end with a fireworks display by King’s Cliffe’s 1605 Fireworks.

Friends of the Festival are able to buy their �20 tickets three days before the general release on March 19. Tickets will also be available on the day for �30 with free entry for children aged five and under.

Gates open at 5pm with the choice of bringing your own picnic or enjoying the food and drink on site which includes a hog roast, burgers, ales, paella, Pimms and wine.
