Elgood’s brewery garden will open its doors to the public in August as part of the national open gardens scheme.
The family-owned garden is behind Elgood’s North Brink Brewery and covers around four acres.
Visitors can see mature specimen trees of about 250 years old including oak, variegated sycamore, beech, tulip and ginkgo. These provide a backdrop to the garden design.
Traditional and new features are incorporated including a lake, lawns, rockery, herb garden, water and grass garden, maze and dipping pool.
It is a peaceful oasis within the town of Wisbech with a visitors centre that caters for snack lunches and teas with a licensed bar and a well stocked shop.
There will be plants for sale as well as a range of bottled beers and gifts. There are disabled-friendly facilities and a large free car park.
The garden will be open on Sunday August 3 from 11.30 am to 4.30 pm. Entry is £3.50 and £3 for concessions (under 6s free).
