A feast of family entertainment comes to the Cambridge Junction in October with a range of theatre and music events.
Tim Spooner’s Assembly of Animals creates a mystical light show on a slowly expanding stage which becomes full with mysterious visions of unusual objects, light-up liquids and magnetic animals that emerge from the darkness.
The installation performance for young audiences and families will allow people to experience an unusual spectacle of puppetry, magic and scientific-demonstration combined into a kind of performed sculpture.
Recommended for ages three and above the show is on Sunday October 12 at 11.30, 2.30 and 4.30.
Tickets cost £10 for adults and £6 for children. A family of four costs £27.
On Sunday October 19 Hiccup Theatre presents the Three Wise Monkeys with chimps Seeno, Hearno and Speakno embarking on an adventure-filled journey to wisdom.
They learn about keeping secrets and how to help friends as they bring an old Japanese proverb to life by juggling live music, puppetry and mischievous storytelling into a brand new version perfect for little ones and their grown ups.
The show is by acclaimed Olivier Award-winning writer Mike Kenny and is perfect for little monkeys aged three to seven years old and their families.
The show lasts 55 minutes. Tickets cost £10 for adults, £6 for children. A family of four costs £27. The show is on Sunday October 19 at 11.30am and 2.30pm.
Modern circus comes to the Junction on Tuesday October 21 with a show populated by a cast of highly accomplished circus performers.
Off Journeys by Company Kiai takes the audience from the surreal to the surprising to give an extraordinary night out at the theatre.
This new show from the gifted French ensemble explores the mysteries of the mind and communicates a spectrum of emotions using the physical skills of a contortionist, a hip-hop dancer, a handstander, an acrobat, and a clown.
A feast for the eyes, Off is accompanied by hypnotic electro music driven by original pulsing basslines and rhythmic beats. Darkly comic, mischievous and with a very big trampoline, this opportunity to catch the UK premiere from this troupe is truly a one Off.
It is on Tuesday October 21 at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £12 for adults, £8 for children and £32 for a family of four.
