LOCAL artist Irena Tumulka, will be holding her second exhibition throughout February, in the Clayton Exhibition room on the first floor of the Octagon Gallery, Market Street, Wisbech.

Irena trained for three years at Hornsey College of Arts and Crafts in the sixties. Here she developed her strong feel for colour and composition which has led her to produce these eye catching paintings. Irena hopes that her work will help people to see the colours around them and give them a little happiness.

Irena is excited by colours and how they inter mix. Her inspiration comes from what she sees in her surroundings, nature, trees, plants, fields and the changes in the light with the seasons. She is fascinated by the many patterns and textures which she tries to capture in her paintings.

Gallery owner Daniel Kiff said: “I am pleased Irena is holding an exhibition again with us as her work is very exciting, with lovely vibrant colours”

The Exhibition is on throughout February and admission is free.
