STUDENTS at Cromwell Community College in Chatteris are busy rehearsing for their two-night run of Arthur Miller’s The Crucible.
Their opening night is next Wednesday, with a second performance the following evening.
Kieran Young and Becca Everitt star as Proctor and Abigail, with George Coady and Damien Beeby as Hale and Reverend Parris.
The play is set amid the Salem Witch hunts of the 1690s. The quest to rid the community of witchcraft and free them from the clutches of the Devil’s work leads the inhabitants of Salem in a vicious circle of intrigue, accusations and hangings. Is any woman or man beyond the reach of suspicion?
Performances begin at 7pm. Tickets cost 3 for adults and 2 for children and are available from the school’s finance office by calling 01354 692193.
