Florists wanted to take part in flower festival at Fenland church

CREATIVE florists are wanted to take part in a flower festival at a Fenland church later this year.

St Peter’s Church in March will hold the event in October with the theme of inventions playing an integral part in all chosen displays. Organisers have urged professionals and keen amateurs to get involved.

Church spokesman Ed Palmer said: “From the wheel, to the steam engine, to the telephone and television: if you can say it with flowers then the St Peter’s Church flower festival is a blooming marvellous chance for you to show off your floral skills.”

Entry forms for the event - being held at the High Street church from October 7-9 - are available from Fleurtations in Fenland Walk and the church and The Flower Basket in the High Street.

• There are also places left for craft stalls at the event on October 8. For more details contact Beth Letts on 01354 652264
