Up-and-coming folk and indie trio Speak Brother will take to the stage at the next After Hours Live on May 8.
The band, described as vulnerable, honest and ethereal, has earned comparisons with Mumford & Sons and Athlete.
They have appeared across the UK from coffee shops to the city-wide Birmingham Artsfest and Coventry Godiva Festival. After Hours Live organiser Matt McChlery said: “Showcasing acoustic driven, harmony-rich anthems along with their intimate, mellow story songs, Speak Brother invite you into their living room, dismissing pretence to share real stories of hope and pain.”
Octavia’s Cafe provides an excellent venue as well as delicious cake and coffee. Music starts at 7.30pm with doors opening at 7pm. Entry is free.
