The Royal Air Force Shades of Blue Orchestra was formed in 1999 when the Band of the RAF Regiment moved to its present location at RAF Cranwell.
Established as an 18-piece ensemble, it has earned a fine reputation for its versatility and excellence and is noted for its interpretation of a wide range of musical styles such as the big band standards from Glenn Miller and Count Basie, funk from Weather Report and some of the more modern numbers from Phil Collins and Robbie Williams.
