THERE’S a chance to step back in time and listen to the hits of the 1960’s and 70s at the weekend, when Sue Whitby is organising a dance in aid of the British Heart Foundation.
Mel Stevens and the Strollers will provide the dance music on Saturday evening (Nov 3) at Marshland High School Hall in West Walton,.
Sue said: “ I’ve organised the dance for the last 20 years, and it’s always a great night with a lovely group of people and great music. There’s no bar, but people are welcome to bring their own food and drink with them. We also have various raffles throughout the evening, with lots of great prizes.
“This year we’re raising money for British Heart Foundation in memory of my sister-in-law, Carol Western. Also my husband Alf had quadruple by-pass surgery almsot eight years ago, and so it is personally important to me to raise as much money as we can for this fantastic, and hugely worthwhile, charity.”
The dance runs from 8pm until midnight. Tickets are 9.00, and available from Fox’s Card Shop, Market Place, Wisbech or by contacting Sue on 07814 304397 / sue.whitby@hotmail.co.uk
