Whittlesey is set to get its first early taste of Christmas next month when a new festive event is held at the town’s Ivy Leaf Club.

Sunday November 30 will see around 50 stallholders, selling everything from glasswork, to candles and hand knitting, setting up their stands.

The event, which runs from 9.30am to 3.30pm, has been organised by Mike Chapman, Fenland’s former Markets Manager, and local artist John Abbott from Fecraft Fairs.

Also on offer will be a range of foods including cakes, jams. chutneys, fresh shellfish and cheeses.

If successful the event will become an annual affair for the town.
