Search for a star: Auditions to find some panto babes for Jack and the Beanstalk

YOUNGSTERS who want to perform in Ely’s first professional pantomime are invited to go along to auditions later this month.
KD Theatre Productions are staging Jack and Beanstalk at Ely Maltings between December 26 and January 14, and are holding open auditions to find some panto babes.
Children aged between six and 13 will make up three groups that will sing and dance in the production., sharing a total of 35 performances.
Although ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’ will be Ely’s first professional pantomime, KD Theatre Productions have a wealth of experience in productions and working with young people having produced shows in their home town of Soham and world renowned festivals such as The Edinburgh Fringe.
Director Daniel Bell said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for young people to get involved in a professional production. They will get to perform alongside professionally trained actors in a production worthy of the West End.
