A JET truck that was one of the main attractions at the closing ceremony of the Paralympics 2012 will be making an appearing at Peterborough Truckfest over the May Bank Holiday.
The machine - The Beast from the East - will enter the main arena on both days of the event, held on Sunday and Monday, May 5 and 6 at the East of England Showground.
When The Beast from the East appeared at the spectacular Paralympics 2012 ceremony, pop stars Rihanna, Jay-Z and Coldplay were also seen performing on the vehicle in front of a 1 billion viewer audience.
The machine is a bespoke 4-wheel drive, made from titanium panels taken from Mig-21 fighter planes, with its design based on an East German army truck.
Event Director Colin Ward said “I’m thrilled that we have such an unusual truck entered at Truck Fest Peterborough this year.”
