Vintage cycles on show at Peckover House in Wisbech

TAKE a trip back in time at Peckover Garden in Wisbech on Saturday June 30, when an array of vintage bicycles will be in the grounds, including penny farthings, hobby horses and bone shakers.

Members of March Vintage and Veteran Bicycle Club will be dressed in Edwardian costume for the event, and will be happy to talk to visitors as they stroll around the garden, and play croquet on the lawn.

The Edwardian costumes will blend perfectly with the tranquil feel of Peckover garden with its restful Victorian design. With a little imagination, visitors will be able to feel that they’re back at the beginning of last century, watching the Peckovers at leisure in their glorious garden.

The National Trust garden will be open, as usual, from noon to 5pm, with last admission at 4.30pm. Admission is free to Trust members and the normal

cost applies to non members.
