A favourite choral work, 'Handel's Messiah', will be performed at Peterborough Cathedral on Friday December 18.
The piece was originally composed in 1741 and has become one of the most popular choral works of all time.
Peterborough Cathedral Choir, Youth Choir and Festival Chorus, directed by Steven Grahl, with professional soloists Robyn Allegra Parton, Owen Willetts, Simon Wall and Nicholas Morris, will be performing.
The singers will be accompanied by the Saraband Consort, a London-based baroque orchestra who use period instruments to bring the music alive through sounds that would have been familiar to Handel himself.
