WildTracks Activity Park's annual charity karting race and networking evening will take place next month.

This year sporting a Mexican theme, the karting race and networking evening is open to all.

John Gorst, WildTracks director, said: “Local companies are encouraged to bring teams of four for the racing and then to enjoy a Mexican themed dinner and informal networking.

“The winning team gets to take home the WildTracks charity karting trophy.”

The trophy has a long history, having first been awarded in 1931 to the winners of the House Raquets Tournament at Eton College.

Each year WildTracks chooses a charity to support.

This year’s chosen charity, The Who Cares? Trust, helps young people in care and care leavers in practical ways, including lifeskills workshops, young trainers schemes and support for those who have been in care and want to bring improvements in the provision of care.

Mr Gorst added: “We always enjoy working with our charity of the year but this year’s charity is particularly relevant as we already work in this area supporting young people who have been in care though our work experience programme - some of whom have now become valuable employees.”

To enter a team for the race or more information on becoming next year’s charity of the year, contact WildTracks on 01638 751918.
